As a result of the Supreme Court’s decision to approve the early release of the six individuals convicted of murdering former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, Congress expressed its sadness and unhappiness on Friday. The defendants are currently serving life sentences in jail. Jairam Ramesh, a member of the Congress and the general secretary in charge of communications, referred to the Supreme Court’s ruling as “absolutely undesirable and completely incorrect.” He declared, “The Supreme Court’s decision to release the last remaining murderers of former Prime Minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi is entirely wrong and incorrect.
